What kinda question is that?

I thought It was a legitimate question. I guess I could list a few specific questions like is Swift a good company to work for? Do they treat their drivers good? Do they pay well? You know, standard questions a new guy might ask.
Thanks for the link. -
Now those are questions that can be answered.
1.) They are an OK (at best) starter Company for the most part.
2.) Going to depend on your DM some.
3.) NoDoyne Thanks this. -

The whole idea of even thinking that one of these companies is gonna treat / pay you well is absurd. As long as the uninformed and naive continue flocking to this industry, there is no hope of it getting better, because the Swifts and Werners of the world are gonna happily take advantage of you.

I like when the positive, upbeat guys think because they work hard and follow the rules that their outcome will differ from the thousands before them. Sorry, your work ethic and attitude aren't going to change an entire company.aladdin sane Thanks this. -
Thank you all again for your input. I have decided that waiting for orientation at Maverick is over. I can't sit around the house and and do nothing any longer. So, I have decided to go with Swift. I start orientation on Mon. 2/18 in Jonestown, Pa. The recruiter, Tom, said I should get a mentor on Thursday right after orientation.
I remember what DocWatsons been going through so I am not holding my breath while I wait.
I have not driven in a few years so I will need to pass the driving test before I can move forward. I should say I haven't driven an 18 wheeler in a few years. I think I can still do it though. But I guess we will see.
Any advise would be appreciated.
Thanks again for ALL of the input.

Good luck driver, but you have been warned. Don't come back posting how bad they treated you.
