    Need some info from anyone here. If you've been on the Central Refrigerated Link you have probably seen my posts. In April I went to Central to take their training with my roomy. My bloodpressure was to high, so they told me come back in 60 days. I went back in 60 days in June and my bloodpressure was still 2 points to high. The doctor said come back in 60 days with a doctors note and medication. I have the doctors note and medication; I called to schedule for September and they told me I can't come back and try again.
    SO, I'm thinking Swift is next up with the least complaints and ripoff reports.
    Can anyone tell about the Arizona Facility, Student Treatment etc.-- I was told the housing is at Days Inn and there are 2 bunkbeds per room. Are the rooms clean etc.
    Anything will be helpful.

    Thanks

    i don't think it's quite as illegal these days. if you want to keep your job your gonna have to make sacrifices. swift isn't the only company cutting back.

    can anyone tell me about the swift application. they are the only ones to email me an application to fill out. since not being OTR for 7 years. but looking at the papers, i've noticed independant contractor papers in there.

    guessn that means the only way i'm gonna get a job is to lease???

    edit:: it's all O/O paperwork.
    crap

    I spoke to a friend today that stills works for Swift ... he said they are offering Leases to newbies for no money down and with only 3 months solo exp ... not sure if that is true but it does seem odd ... if it is true why would they do it?

    To be honest I thought they were not hiring exp drivers ... looks like they need people to fill the lease contracts on some of their trucks? Just a guess.

    Eh??? I'm told it's still 6 months as a company driver before you can be an O/O. Weird how people hear differing things.

    Higher empty weight = smaller loads = less freight.

    Just how much do you think all your gear will weigh?

    If it's classed as an apu you get a 500lb allowance on the scale, right? So 500lbs or less to play with.
