No he prefers day shift.... but we are on a dedicated route... I typically do 2am-2pm... I was finding half of his shift, every shift was sitting waiting for stores to open and them getting us unloaded... 2-3 hours before appointment time then at least 2 hours for unloading.... he was putting in maybe 375 miles a shift.... while I was doing 630-700 miles a shift

Doing 6-6 would work better for us but he don't want to do that. Why you ask... lazy arse seems to think he'll have to do 1 more shift then I do..... idiot doesn't relize I'm doing as much as a days more driving a week then he does every week as it is.....long story

I only run nights the past 21 years and I don't get tired at all, mind you takes serious meds to put me to sleep when i do get home.
Only drink black coffee or water on the road, no soda or sugar of any sort. Lunch is light, a sandwich and a orange. There is a age thing as well, the older you are the less sleep you need.
I know guys who go through a pack of smokes every 8 hours on night shift. What they fail to admit is smoking seriously lowers amount of oxygen in blood which contributes to their fatigue..
