Hey everyone,
I've been driving for Prime inc since Jan. 12th of this year. I was just dropped off by my trainer earlier last week. I was told to take my time off before I upgrade to my own truck(had been otr for 30 days). Now that I'm home, I've been told I need to pay to get back to Springfield, no reimbursement. Now this morning I had the great idea to look on craiglist at local jobs, and I see that Cypress trucking is hiring noobies. I could be home every weekend(1 hr away from there Tampa terminal), and still make decent money. Now how bad can it screw me for not sticking it out with my first company for 6months to a yr?
Thanks for your answers!

It won't screw you at all unless Prime puts something on your DAC. If you didn't get your CDL through Prime and that other place will hire you I say go for it.

Yea I paid for my cdl training through roadmaster on my own.

If you plan on staying with Cypress for a while I would make the jump. May lose your tuition reimbursement.

Not getting tuition reimbursement from Prime inc, thx for the input guys. So far sounds like I'll be safe

Read the Cypress threads before you jump. Very easy to search. Good luck

Don't quit Prime until you're locked in with Cypress. Once you're hired by Cypress, then let Prime know you aren't coming back.

Thanks for the advice guys. I called and talked to them about the posistion, filled out an online app, called back and the lady said she will process my app. I'm supposed to call back tommorow morning to see if I was approved. Hopefully it works out, and I can get into orientation for Monday.
Chinatown Thanks this. -
Do they offer tuition reimbursement?
