Plenty of companies will hire you if you have a CDL.
A little training will be required with an experienced driver before you hit the road as a solo driver.thatguyconner Thanks this. -
Stay local.
Most if not all megas want otr experience last 3 years. Particularly winter in the rockies.
Local long hauls won't usually require that. Course. There are local semi jobs also. Oil, gas, food waste. Etc.thatguyconner Thanks this. -

We offer one of the best trainee programs in the country. All you need is a Class A License (No experience needed). We will pay you $600 a week while you go out with a trainer and learn from the best, then move on to a solo dedicated account with top pay and great home time!

Every driver should watch this. I spent a lot of time at a produce warehouse in Salinas when I ran reefer, and it was comical how many times guys would drive away from the dock, and then BOOM! Usually the landing gear is then trashed, and they'd be disappointed when the warehouse guys wouldn't attempt to lift the trailer up with their forklifts, instead having to pay Doc's Crash Landing or whatever it was heavy wrecker to lift it back up. That tow truck never seemed to be that far away!Deadhead-er and Chinatown Thank this.
