Hey guys! How y'all doin? I'm a lease operator with prime, coming up on my first year with the company. I've been in the reefer division since I started and I'm interested in jumping into tanker. I was wondering if there were any tanker guys that could tell me a little bit about it. Is it worth it? I know that I'm going to have to turn my truck in to do the tanker classes, but that's about as much of the process I know about.

I just spent an hour last night talking to an O/O in Prime Tankers and he is moving to refer. He says that the rates have been going down over the past three years and the loads have been getting more time added to them. he also said that Deadhead has become an issue. Not sure if he is just disillusioned with tankers or not. He did say that his gross revenue per mile is at $1.45 (not good)
