switching from school to company training for cdl

    hi all due a family members health may have to drop out of school and get a partial refund and was considering trying to go to a company that has a cdl school,i am aware of 2,roehl and prime and was reading i could get more 1 on 1 time.ihave no experience backing in the past and have not learned any of the basics,straight line,trailor drifting etc.never even backed a boat .would company training be a good move after i deal with a family members falling health.any input would be great

    Con-way has a very good partial pay program in cooperation with Crowder College near Joplin, Missouri.

    Look before you leap. I would not do this unless you are willing to give the company at least two years of your time. I can not speak for ConWay, I have never heard anything bad about them so the previous post may set you in the right direction, all i am saying is get all the facts first. The big companies are the ones you should look at though, as in Swift and the like. Talk to the drivers before you commit though...
