from van. How hard is it to do with Swift? Does anybody know?

I know, ask a recruiter. I would, but it's next to impossible to get a hold of her, so thought I would ask here.

I'd go that route, training with a van driver, if it would get me to orientation sooner.

    Thanks.

Flatbedding is not for the faint of heart....

Anybody can tug a van or reefer.....It's takes a special breed to tug a flat and deal with everything that comes with the flat.......

I've been waiting for a couple of months to get into orientation for flatbed, but there seems to be a lack of fb Mentors. So I figured if I could get on sooner by going van and then switching, so be it.

As for flatbedding itself, that's what I am, a skateboarder. It's what I know, and like (love might be too strong a word).

I've been out of a seat too long for anyone, except Swift, to consider me.

I originally contacted them in late Jan. I called recruiting, then when I was told they would consider me without my having to go through school again (have to do the 6 weeks with a trainer), I submitted a app. Then had to fax in a release form and 3 references. Got approved, and a tentative orientation date for Feb. 15. Then that got cancelled and was told sometime in March. I requested that it be after mid March, daughter decided on spur of the moment wedding with SO. Started calling recruiter again around March 8, and have played telephone tag with her since. Now I've got a tentative date of Apr. 19. So it's been a 3 month ordeal.

Jim I would get working. IMO a recruiter wouldn't reallly know. Getting rolling is tough. There is a shortage of mentors. They are hiring a bunch of drivers. Who knows you might like vans! Lots of drop and hook. Since I started in Feb they have lost many mentors.
