Swithching from gas pot to diesel

    The only experience I have is on a 5 & 4 speed gas pot. Now I have a chance to drive an 8 speed diesel. What should I do different. And what is the normal shift pattern to a Mac and Volvo 8 speed.

    There's no one true shift pattern for every single truck. It all depends on what transmission they stuck in the thing. The shifter should have a diagram of the pattern on the knob. The only 8 speed pattern I know is the typical easy peasy H shape. You'll also have to learn how to double clutch.
