lol, I got cured of toilet shyness in 1976 at ft leonard wood ,mo. 220 trainees , I in a latrine 50 toilets in 2 rows of 25 down the middle with no partitions, and a row of sinks down each outside wall, take a dump and gaze at a hairy behind shaving. and the the showers were a big open room with shower coming out the wall every 4 feet, try that on for size and a one inch crack in the stall door wont even faze you.
like I said , a bunch of female lady-parts, drink some concrete and harden up.

I wouldn't knock the cowboys too bad......
I mean, at some point in their history, they've actually won the superbowl.
Now ya could have a real good team to brag about like the queens..... -
4 corners restaurant heading to Cali has some fantastic food. Bert's in new jersey has fantastic food. Limited parking though. Camden I think. Sikeston Mo. has fantastic food. Truck Stop food is relying on your inability to look for other sources. You get what they offer. Your a Trucker, DIY buy a steak in a grocery store. Cook it on a hot plate. (I use a bbq pit) 39.00 lasts about 2 years. or walk a block or two to a nice place to eat. Hard at first, make it a way of life. I ain't Richard Simmons, but I eat good.

Considering how much foot traffic goes thru these truck stops daily, it's a miracle some aren't falling down. I've seen some real ****holes over the years. Mostly in the south. It's the drivers that mess up these places. As in throwing their trash out in the parking lot, paper towels on the floor, not flushing toilets, spilling their sodas on the ground which makes it nice and sticky to step in. But don't get me wrong, truck stop management needs to step up and tidy up.
I remember the truck stop in Ozona Tx. when it opened. (around 1976). The owner claimed to be a retired trucker who knew what drivers wanted. I couldn't figure how drivers "wanted" high prices in the store and showers so small you couldn't turn around.DoneYourWay, joseph1135 and Cranky Yankee Thank this. -
moral of the story folks,
Is fuel where your told ( if company driver) But your not being told , where to spend your own money.
As for parking, yes the big 4 fill up early, but yet find a ma and pa independent truck stop, in most cases there is always one near the big 4, spend your money there, and have wide open parking.
