that upgrade for tmobile sounds nice i just got dinged for 200 for 1 gig over, fricking disgusting. Verizon did lower there overage to .05 a mb but still stinks. My only ptoblem with the tmobile is the throttle down to dial up sorry you just can't do much with that low speed, but it is nice without overage and naturally i just renewed my vz contract so maybe next year.

Yeah, I read that when you get throttled they bring you down to 50 kbps which is about dial up. But hey, it's $40 a month, everyone else is $60 with overage charges. With the $20 you save, you could just get a wi-fi account at one of the truckstop chains and use that whenever possible to keep you from hitting the cap and getting throttled.

Then like another guy posted, for $70 a month there is Millenicom, which is unlimited with no caps.

I pay $60 a month for TRUE "Unlimited" (grandfathered Sprint account) NO "overages", and I would NEVER use public WiFi again.
Oh, if all you do is surfing and emailing, it isn't easy to go over 5G a month.

Well, that's not all that I do. I like to watch Hulu and youtube, which has a great selection of old tv shows, and I'll do that on a WiFi connection. I used to do that on my Sprint account, which is grandfathered, unlimited, but they sent me a nasty letter about a year ago telling me to knock it off or they would cancel the account. My Sprint is $40 a month, I got a discount through the company I work for, so the extra $20 to wandering wifi isn't a big deal.

I had a Sprint grandfathered account also. Well, I had one until I started getting letters from Sprint saying that they would cancel my account if I didn't take it easy on the usage.

Same here. Had a grandfathered Sprint card and got a letter saying all granfathered accts now would be limited to 5GB and 200MB while in roaming. I had just upgraded my device 2wks before and they let me out of my contract and I still recieved my rebate. Went to verizon and couldn't be happier.

I go over all the time, but never more than a gigabyte. I never hear a peep from them. It seems they are only going after the heavy users that are using more than 10 gigs a month consistently. If they cancel it, so what. I'm done with the two year contract anyway. I'll just go somewhere else.
