So far so good, I had sprint before a I did not notice any difference with t mobile
-
I see you mentioned Sprint..
I have yet to try T-Mobil, but I'd like to say Sprint sucks, I run central PA to points south every week and the coverage is a joke..
I'm looking for a new carrier but......I'm locked into a contract, doh !! -
i have t-mobile and I had hardly any problems with signal. A few times it went out whne I wasnt near a tower but overall I love t-mobile. In my opinion they have reasonable prices and good service.

Sure Anytime -
I have t-mobile broadband via the "webconnect stick" they market. by the way, its chinese made. it even says in big letters, HAUWEI....haha.
It works great when i have service. You also get free access to all tmobile wifi hotspots, but ive never actually encountered one of these on the road. but it can roam for $5 a day on other wifi services, such as AT&T, which is at a lot of service plazas....just nice to put it on one bill. It'll ask for confirmation before charging anything like that.
Anyway, coverage is great. If you have a tmobile 3g phone already, and want to see where it'll work, just make it stay connected to 3g all the time. If you have a t-mobile signal with 3G, it'll work great. (edge or G of course works too). It wont ever roam. So only t-mobile signals, ever.
The only places where coverage sucks are in the parts of PA where all the cell towers are Indigo, the boonies where no one has 3G (getting rarer), and ...pretty much all of the east coast unless you're very near a big city.
When I first got it, they didnt sell it in any stores locally so i had to set my plan up over the phone and have the device mailed to me. They said they dont market them where they dont have 3G, and they didnt have 3g in any of michigan besides detroit and grand rapids. But it works just fine on edge, which they have in most of michigan. They sold it to me and told me they should have 3g in all of michigan by january. That was in november, and they just now got 3g rolled out to my house. Hehe. But I dont use it much when im home anyway.....
I never run the west coast, usually just run Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Ontario, Pennsylvania. Due to ridiculous rates i cant use any of my tmobile services in Ontario. It sucks on the east coast but it works most places where I normally run.
When I run on the east coast its usually New Yawk (works AWESOME in NYC! best speeds EVER! sucks upstate though), New Joysey (works great in NYC metro area, never stopped in joysey besides the NYC metro area though), Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, New Hampshire, Connect-icut, Georgia, Mass, etc. Never been to florida with it.
I recently spent a couple days in Omaha, worked great there except in the terminal building.Last edited: Mar 4, 2010

Now if you could just get that service for free, that would be the cat's meow...
