Being a 94 with no hand throttle yet had factory cruise it was a 4CK PEEC. Or programmable electronic engine control. All the electronics were on the pump it’s been converted back to manual. A haze is normal a short crank time before lightning is normal. Extended crank and excessive white smoke alone with a rattle when you step on it E clip is off the spook in timing advance letting it stay advanced they are as good as any CAT. You just can’t drive it like an electronic motor. You have to look listen and feel. You hit ti keep the uninformed away from it or you won’t have much, many think there all the same and that’s false do not advance the timing like every single #### sucker around is gonna tell you to or you have 2 that shot there wad.
Not really my engine for the questions asked, i only know what my 3406e has forced me to learn. I know a decent bit about that era t600 body and frame, but none of those questions fit the right engine
Are you familiar with the Dayton N Series 5th wheel? It's a slider style but the lock pins don't extend all the way through. The pins are square and the holes are wedge shaped. Not sure if that is normal or if I need to fix something
A picture will be worth a lot more than words on that, I had an issue on my slider wearing out, ended up just welding it in place since I never move it anyway, but not sure if its the same as yours, I'll try and remember to take a few pictures to show what I mean
It's an 8TC PEEC that has been converted. That makes sense of the factory cruise switches. It fires almost instantly and runs smooth.
Leave it be is what it is. Without seeing it it’s hard to say but probably normal they will haze a bit when cold
Angled slots are good, so long as the square pins dont have any slop and fully engage the squares, i dont forsee any problems in the near future. Might want to see if you have slop in it hooking to a lightly loaded trailer though. Should tell you more about prefered height if you decide to hunt for a shorter or taller 5th wheel. Was playing in the wet and the rain today so no real good pic of how my slider is, but i snapped a few photos quite a little bit ago, my pins were ever so slightly tapered, but over time wobbled out holes and the pins
