t660 regen not working

    09 with isx 450.

    can't raise the idle. i'm guessing it's blocked in the ecm. and i'm thinking that's why it won't regen.

    i can bounce the idle anywhere from 600 - 800. and that's all.

    or is there a trick to getting it to work. cuz my light is on. and i defentily don't want to be crawling my way back to civilization to get the truck regened.

    i've pushed the switch in for 10 seconds. like on the petes. but no dice.

    Hey Snowwy-How are you?I had a 2009 KW T-660 with a 2007 Cummins.My regen would not work.Took it to the shop.Ended up being the battery cables needed cleaned.Mine had to have the button held in for up to a minute.I'm not saying that's your solution.It was mine.Take care.Brian

    Make sure that both your cruise control and jake ( engine retarder ) are off ... push the button for 10 seconds

    well, fired up the truck this morning. engine light was off. tried the regen switch and regen worked this time. BUT. it got 15 minutes in and shut off. with a RED ENGINE light flashing.

    anyone know what that RED ENGINE light means.

    there's a yellow engine light for and a red engine light. never seen the red engine light before.

    shut the truck down. fired it up. got the regen light again. but no flashing red. gonna try to finish into denver and screw around with it.

    Uh with that red light u better find a dealer cuz its just gonna die soon...

    well. got on the freeway and the dpf light went off. made it into denver with no lights.

    get this load off and find load home. take to shop provided no other problems.

    Keep driving it with a regen issue and you will be towing it in to the shop. The longer you have the problem the ecm will derate the engine and you will be crawling along at 5 mph

    Yup sounds familiar ........... You need to get truck to a dealer ASAP . They probably will take 2 or 3 tries to fix it.

    The longer you drive it like this the worse it will be . Those systems barely work with everything working well. And any little problem sends it into an emissions death spiral ........

    al trucks have a regen issue. that's why they regen.

    they're also ran with computers. and computers to have glitches. to which hopefully that's all it was.

    it's also quite possible that maybe it didn't like the 55 mph driving also.

    if i went into panic mode everytime something happens for the first time. i'd be dead and broke.

    if it happens a second time, then it's time to worry. but to panic over one time and take it to the shop. spend $500 for them to clear the codes and say nothing is wrong. how about i save that $500 for when i KNOW something MIGHT actually get fixed.

    as of right now. i'm in albuquerque for the second drop. finish unloading in tucson and phoenix tomorrow. and all systems GREEN AND CLEAR.

    i can finish unloading. and grab a load home where i can take the truck to a shop i know and trust. which is better then a motel and hearing that nothing is wrong.

    but it's nice to know that the red light is emergency. thanks for that tip.
