Have you first checked the bulbs in those two signals?
Not likely two would ail at once, but it is possible the passenger side one went out unnoticed awhile back, and now the driver's side one went out.
    Just a thought.

If bulbs are ok, I'd focus next on the feedthru connection at the firewall.

Could be your signal stat switch. Usually when they start to go bad you will have blinkers on back but no break lights. The diode that seperates front and rear is in it. Most of the time you can turn blinker on an wiggle handle around with steady pressure and find a sweet spot to make it work thus verifying your problem. Also look at flat 4 wire connectors where the hood rolls on hinges in the front I have seen lots of corrosion there, and at firewall on driver outside where all the outside harnesses plug in.

Did you ever find your problem? I have turn signals working everywhere but on the hood. The Ground is not a problem, got good ground. Very unusual to lose both left and right and only on the hood, otherwise I would suspect a rotten wire.
