T800 power steering question

    I am a newly owner of a 05 t800 with a 565 cummins in it. I am filling all fluids and came across the power steering box with a line that runs up to a black cylinder that I assume is the power steering reservoir ? Am i right? It's on the drivers side of the motor . If I'm right why does one line go to the steering box then to the side of the motor right behind where the oil fill cap is at?

    One is the return hose from the box and the other is the suction line for the pump those two are rubber hose then there is a braided hi pressure hose that runs from the pump to th box
