I have rewards cards for most of the chains...
But I usually just use the major T/S for fuel and showers...

If possible, I stay at the Mom&Pop places....Most of the mega-carriers avoid them...

 

That T/A has always been bad and always will be bad. Usually I'll stop at the Casino N. of town or time it so I can hit my customer and drive back as far as Russell's or Trinidad before stopping. On a good day I can make it to Pueblo or the Springs before running out of hours. One of our drivers had some pull his kingpin release while parked there, another had his marker lights stolen. Someone tried to steal my chains. Have a buddy who lives in Abq., he's trying to work a deal with the HD by his house to let me park there when I come down so I can spend the night at his place.

 

What I can't believe is that Werner has that unsecured lot next door where the locals drop and hook trailers. They drop loaded trailers there and there's no security. I wonder if many trailers get "lost" as its only 4 hrs or so to Mexico south on 25.

 

that used to be a truck stop, now I believe it's a drop and steal lot and not just for Werner and the locals. I've seen a couple of other drop/hooks in there.

 

was their any lizers working the lot? few year ago they were all over that t/a..

 

Great, we now have to go through the effort of wiring the metal areas of the truck now to stop petty theives.
