Over a month ago I took my truck into their shop for an inspection and to have them put some new shoes on my front drive axle. Done my inspection first and passed my truck. Yay... Then they start on my brakes and realize I have a bad wheel seal so they replace it. Okay not a problem... 3 weeks later I notice the same wheel seal is leaking so I take it back to them and they replaced it yet still charged me for it saying there was nothing wrong with it. The very next day it is leaking again so I call them back and they inform me it must be something wrong with my axle and they want me to bring it in and they will charge me again. I got wise this time and it to another place and just got informed the wheel seal was going out because someone trying to get an old one out used a screw driver and indented where the seal seeds. The mechanic took a die grinder to it and cleaned it up. Now have a new wheel seal and been driving the truck with no wheel seal issues. I called TA in Whitestown and they say too bad not their problem. Well the kids they have working in there just got out of school within the last 6 months and don't know nothing about fixin a truck so how is that my problem? I have my old seal to prove there is an indent where it looks like a screw driver chiseled into it. Any ways just wanted to vent.

How about a complaint to the BBB, don't know if that is possible or not, but at least it would be out there. Of course being on here may help spread the word too where people may shy away from going there for service.
We bought some tires from Pep Boys a few years ago in Kenner, LA area. They were so worried about us letting them check under the hood for fluids and other nonsense that they didn't even notice the rims needed to be replaced. We had one of the tires which had a slow leak in it and took it to the Pep Boys in East side of NO, that is when we found out it was because the rim was pitted. The wheeled them off a little and resealed it with some black stuff and so far it has held.. but we most likely would have gotten new rims if we would have known since we were doing a lot of driving then. If you could strangle people that would be nice. -
I would call TA's corporate headquarters. Let them know what happened and inform them about this thread.

Might try calling OOIDA. Even not a member they will make a call and post in their mazazine if you are willing to put it on paper. Their phone calls usually gets things changed.
So many truckstops get by with things like this for years because they know most of us do not squeal much. -
Yeah I was/am just a little peeved about it. They don't charge to much an hour and one ol boy inside there treated me right. He has since moved on to Old Dominion in Indy to work in their shop. Stop on by the TA in Whitestown right off 65 and you will see a group of kids(6) or so working in there on the same shift. I have learned my lesson. Anyways my truck is running miles with no wheel seal problems.
