What suprised me too was yesterday in punta gorda fl near ft Myers I stopped in the pilot around 5pm local time and there were spots everywhere in their...that shocked me..
-
And so have you contacted TACorp. and complained there?
I've had a few problems with them and Petro around the country, and I go to their social media pages and post,,, next thing I know they are asking me to send them a private msg, putting my contact info in. A day or two later I get a phone call either from a regional manager or the General manager of the problem location.
Coming here and complaining won't result in any changes, or contact with the people in charge at TA/ PETRO, OR EVEN THE OTHER TWO BIG CHAINS. -
He could if he had reserved a parking spot, earlier in the day
-
Nothing wrong with reserved parking. Consider that drivers have to run late, or are held up at dock late into the night, they call ahead and have a place to park, rather than run illegally trying to find a place to park. I use it often, and it's tax deducible.

Met a guy at that TA to sell a trailer back in 09. Did not want to stay there any longer than it took to do the paperwork & get him hooked to the trailer & rolling.
To the quoted line above, was a a Hess in White Pine, TN. They have air at the pumps, but you have to go in to the store to get the hose & leave your license with them.
Asked what the reasoning was & they said no matter what else they did, DRIVERS would steal the air lines if left out at the pumps. Seriously, what is wrong with people at that point? -
I have complained to corporate before and all they have done is transfer me back to deal with the mgt at the location...that's the problem...the location could care less and apparently so does corporate..
-
Nothing ever changes there. It's been like that since I first stopped there 1993.
-
I used it for the first time Teusday night. Reserved the spot that afternoon in Livingston, CA and checked in at near midnight. No free parking spots left at all and three other pay spots besides mine.
-
Oddly enough, I've pulled into that TA a few times after dark and got a spot. But it's usually on that back row where it's real tight. It's a cheap cab ride downtown. I like going there and getting some good food and music.
windsmith Thanks this.
