Stole $2000 ...called managers to review camera recording. I purchased a $9 beanie cap and sat my $2000 cash and credit card holder on counter for a minute to get smaller change out of a pocket. Broken hearted as my money just vanished. This was my Christmas money saved up all year for my children to have Thanksgiving and Christmas. I spend so much money at Pettis and TA around the country. I will never use them again for anything. Crying and praying God convict the thief to repent. Just heartbroken. So sad. Female truck driver. TA Roanoke has thieves so be careful. Watch your money carefully. I was so tired. Never should have entered their facility. Feel like hope is gone for me.

So sorry for your loss. But it does not matter what truck stop chain you are in. People will still from you. They do not care. Never should be carrying that much cash on you at any time at a truck stop. They will catch you around your truck at night and beat you down for anything.

So sorry to hear this happened, did you call the police also and make a report. My husband used his bank debit card last week and this Monday someone managed to make a purchase at a Walmart for $200.00 in MO when he was in NY state. Have to get the affidavit sent in, yada yada for them to investigate and try to get the charged reversed. It may not be much to a lot of people, but it was my grocery and gas money and elec payment and it has incurred a bounce charge, etc now.

Too many criminals in the world. I wish there would be a way to wave a magic wand and you to be able to see who the perp was.

You're in my prayers that God will help replace what is stolen. We have 4 grandkids we help support, so I know how you feel.

God Bless you and your family.

That's more common than you think. You will see someone standing near the fuel desk or cashier, just standing there smiling as if they're waiting for a receipt or something. What they're really doing is waiting for someone to make a mistake and not pay attention, then they take your money and calmly walk out the door. Very common.

so if you reviewed the camera recording I would assume it showed who picked up the money and credit card holder did it not? if so was it a T/A employee? if not and it was another customer it isn't t/a's fault. but honestly why would you carrying around your yearly savings on your person, you have just as easily been robbed in the parking lot, rest area or anywhere else you go.

I know at the moment you are experiencing great pain and panic, but to blame t/a when you put it on a counter and left it for a minute isn't really t/a Roanoke's fault is it. this time of year thieves are out in abundance.

the only way its the t/a's fault if it showed a t/a employee took it. and no hope is not gone, you are still alive and walking around, you are alive , and your kids still have you, that's is what is most important.

but please tell us, who was shown on camera taking it?

I remember one time I was at the Petro in Oak Grove and left my money holder on the counter walked out and bobtailed to the Laundromat.I had $100.00 and my debit card.I was at the Laundromat for over an hr.Then before going back to Petro I noticed it missing.I got back to Petro and a driver turned it in.He was in the louge watching tv.I walked up to him thanked him and gave him $25.00 and some ones for being so honest.

I didn't get chance to review. Conveniently when I got there no manager was there to show me. I had to go deliver load in NY. God knows who did this...I don't but I had it when I went in and didn't when I got back to truck and drove 100 miles and found out it was gone. God will handle.

The manager saw me in film leaving on counter and invited me to come in and review. I said I would be there and no manager was there to show me when I arrivex
