I witnessed a security guard using a small bottle-type pepper spray at a bus station terminal (like a Greyhound) over 10 years ago. It wasn’t a big deal at all. Sure, people quickly moved out of the way, but in a few minutes, it was all back to normal. I was close to where it happened. I don’t remember feeling the gas in my eyes. The gas quickly dissipated.
You didn’t watch the rubber bullet video I posted. With a “good quality” rubber bullet gun, you can fire a few rounds, and the bad guy will be incapacitated from the pain. If you buy the cheapest rubber bullets in the market, they probably won’t be as effective.
The “original problem” or the true source of the problem can be difficult to solve, especially when millions of different situations exist where the security guard needs to use force. Since this is the case, I believe it’s a good idea to also carry various types non-lethal weapons to address various situations without taking someone’s life, unless, of course, if it’s something very serious where the attacker is killing people.

Pain is individual. When one has had enough of it they want out. It is the initial pain that could cause the mad mad to advance with intent.
Remember once the body spools up it's resources in a fight or flight, pain signals may not reach the brain sufficiently for a time.
As far as videos watched or not, no one can say if i did or did not. The video is a good one. However I think to talk about non lethal and lethal to a ordinary company gaurd in a public place is a bit over the top. In Arkansas there is a board within the State Government that regulates armed gaurds. And generally these are also the ones who are bonded so that if something did happen then we will cross that bridge. It is way easier to have a unarmed gaurd working at minimum wage as such than it is to try and have a armed gaurd working here in this state from a regulatory view.
At some point we will revisit this problem however with the apparent suicide of this gaurd facing charges one can make assumptions. The suicide ensures there is no trial except perhaps against the estate and also against TA or employer.PE_T Thanks this. -
One of them claims to buy fleets and supposedly has many drivers that work for him. A few months ago the cat was let out of the bag by a buddy of his who happens to also be a member. Come to find out he owns one truck that he operates himself.
The other fella who used to drive for FFE back in the 90's does nothing but post very long fairy tales every single day on this site. It gets really bad when he starts his mumbo jumbo in the flatbed forums because guys like myself who happen to do flatbed know right away that he is absolutely positively full of BS.
So what would a person gain? You tell me.

About the other guy, he may have a psychological disorder and not be aware of how others perceive him. I hope I don’t go through something like that when I get old.Last edited: Feb 26, 2020

Nowadays it just like how things are handled with the police. Oh it's a shooting that's not politically correct..go ahead and charge the officer to make everyone happy , make the officer the scapegoate to appease the masses. None of us know what really happened here, its all assumptions and gossipREO6205, spyder7723 and JonJon78 Thank this. -
Hey! 21 pages in and nobody asked, "what would Infosaur do?"
Well boys and girls, have a seat at the yakety yak counter and imma tell ya!
Infosaur for the prosecution:
"Your honor, does my client have a bullet in him?" Y
"Did he have a bullet in him before he stopped at the TA?" N
"Did the bullet belong to an employee of TA?" Y
"Prosecution rests."
Infosaur manages a TA:
"Should we hire an armed guard to harass customers? Or just get another bathroom attendant? Hmmmmm,"
Infosaur the security guard:
"As a legally armed employee of TA, I should wear my uniform to promote a clear delineation of authority. I don't want anyone to think I'm a lot lizzard."
Infosaur the driver facing a hard break on my ELD:
"Feds say I can't move it, Fed rules beat private corporate rules. I'll be inside eating a sandwich as I'm not a company employee for the next 30 minutes. Go call a tow truck, see if it gets here before I get back."
Infosaur as a lot lizzard:
"Sure is hard to make a buck in this crappy town since TA guards keep us away from all them rich truckers."
I'd go on, but the BS is getting deep enough the EPA is watching me on satellite.truckguy391, Doealex, LoSt_AgAiN and 2 others Thank this. -
I'm aware that there's always a certain amount of information that gets out but no DA in his right mind is going to take a phone call from a total stranger and start talking about a case.
MT BS meter went clear to the peg on @Deadwood's post -
When talking to me the first time, he asked if I knew or was related to either party. I wasn’t, and filled him in on what I knew of the case.
The info I passed on to him came directly from the Police Information Officer, a liaison between the police and the press. The local press wasn’t following up on the story. Anyone, had they taken an interest, could have done so. Nothing illegal or immoral transpired which is why I felt free to discuss it openly.
Couldn’t care less about your “B.S. meter”. You presume as if your approval is something of Supreme Value to be chased after. It’s not.
The matter is settled and Paul got justice. T/A’s stock fell 25% after the security guard’s suicide (about a $33 million drop) but prior to the Coronavirus’ impact on the market which is where it sits today.mladen86 Thanks this.
