TA Truckstop in Jessup MD

seems to me it's a place to park when your running up 95. Not many other options so waste of space doesnt really make sense. Maybe I just keep to myself and dont see all the horrible things that are rumored to go on there

 

its still there. its still a dive. they still charge for parking after the initial 2 hours free. arrive at giant 30 minutes prior to your appointment and you will usually get sent right to a door. i have been there a time or two.

 

I just had to stop there last week (during the day) to get a power steering line replaced. Always hated that place and was not looking forward to dealing with them due to past experience with the majority of the staff having poor attitudes. I must say I was suprised at how different it was this visit. The shop people (did not deal with any other portions of the truckstop) were friendly and very pleasant to deal with. A little slow doing the fix but definately an improvement from years back and what I remember.

I rather run out of fuel than visit that dump.

 

Used to be free parking that's why all the trouble was there.

 

Used to be a BAR--oh and a REAL Produce Market across the street and chicken trucks and....well it was fun--but that was a loooooong time ago!

 

Agreed. And to make it worse. It's in Howard Co. Think it rates in the top five most expensive counties in the country to live in. The Jessup TA is less than a mile from the State Police Barracks. A few drive thrus a day and none of that goes on

 

A few years ago.. A truck driver was murdered there.. If you go to the dictionary and pulled up dangerous s%#} hole.. It would show this truck stop.

 

I was here more Times,never have a problem,nobody was knocking on my door,was not to bad for sleeping a night,maybe for plenty of years was diferent
