I'm looking to buy a truck that has a tag axle. I don't need tag axle. Is there a market for used tag axles? And is removing them as easy as undoing bolts and plugging air lines?

Yes, unbolt and plug airlines. It will be heavy so make sure you have a way to support it as you unbolt it. If it’s been on the truck a while you might need to bang on it with a sledge to loosen the mounting brackets from the frame after the bolts are out. And yes, should be easy to sell if you’re reasonable with price.

Well I've finally seen that truck, and it's a steerable axle. Made by W&C. 13.2k, disc brakes and new (cheap) tires. It's on 4yrs old truck, so I assume it's that old. If I buy the truck it will be available

That would be of some interest

It's available. Got 22.5 low pro Yokohama tires on aluminum rims. And it's in N Illinois.the
