Taking a Leap - Civil Construction CDL-A driver? (short story, advice needed)

Jackson center, about 60 minute up us33 from Columbus then left on strt 274 for 12 miles

 

I'm similar to OP - 30 years in IT and hate getting up in the morning now. I would jump for a paid CDL class through one of the carriers but have to stay in the area until the divorce is closer to finalized. So I'm currently looking to do CDL weekend classes starting in May and hopefully make the swap in August.

 

Know exactly where your are. Went to BGSU with a girl from Jackson Center. I live just a little north of you in Defiance

 

Defiance is about an hour and a half north. My boss from my previous career field lives just west of defiance in a small little community there. Nice place.

 

Wouldn't happen to be Paulding?

 

Not quite that far. It's literally 1 or so miles outside of defiance. On 24

 

Jewell if I recall

 

Not sure where that would be only town on 24 west of defiance is Cecil and Antwerp

 

Ok sorry, I misspoke. Meant east of town on 24. I'm not even sure if it's a town really

 

Jewell is about the smallest town in America. Lol. It has a post office, body shop, restaurant and grain elevator. The body shop there does all my family's auto work.
