Taking on Goliath---My Fight With TQL

I wanted TONU because they wasted my day. Pride had nothing to do with it. If you let customers get away with stuff, then that's on you. Like I said before, if it were a smaller broker, I would have relented, because I know stuff happens. But it was TQL, an industry behemoth who pulls this crap every day to small carriers. And you know what, a lot of you are missing the POINT of this thread. Let me ask you this: WAS TQL IN THE RIGHT OR IN THE WRONG? Morally? Legally?

One thing is waiting expecting to be dispatched for a simple load that I've done a dozen times, and another thing is waiting to be dispatched knowing that they are going to pull a fast one. I'm telling you, something is not kosher between the shipper and the broker. There's a lie there somewhere. But I'll keep updating as more info comes to light. You wouldn't wait and you'd rather deadhead. And that's fine. I won't deadhead knowing that in the short-term nothing is going to change. As I said before, the Wild Horse was beaconing me.

As for facing me at the poker table, I don't know what to tell you, because I don't know if you are a player. So I'll tell you this, I've gotten my butt kicked and I've kicked some butt. I have won two tournaments each with over 1000 players, and I've won maybe 60 single and multi-table tournaments. Probably more because around 2010 alone I won at least 45 single-table tournies. My roomate looked me up back around 2007 on a poker player tracking website. I had no clue about his stuff back then. He asked me if I've ever checked my rating and I replied that I hadn't. It turns out I was cashing in 39% of the tournaments I played. Pro level is 40%, so I was 1% below pro level. So if you don't REALLY play, you might beat me in a hand here and there. But in the end, I'm gonna take your lunch money. Unless, of course, you can really play.

 

Who the hell said I play roulette? Get with the program Sonny! NO, OP was short-payed on two invoices. OP is exploring options. OP just created this thread because he is a rabble-rouser.

In hindsight, yes. But getting nothing for a load-out is common.
