Im at the end of my third week. So far not too bad. What few loads I have pulled have paid well for the most part. With the exception of a skidded coil load from the Camden NJ ports over to Weirton WVA. Im not too sure if I like driving the Mack Pinnacle or not. It performs well, good mileage, and easy to drive being that its an auto, but the seat is hard as hell.

The Mack mDrive is an awesome automatic. I used to pull spring water tankers weighing in at the full 80,000 (or so...lol) and it did a great job with it.

I cant really complain honestly. Ive got 47k in coils on deck right now from US steel Irvin, the truck pulled good on the hills heading west on I70 through WVa.

Good chance that when I go to release class down in W Columbia, SC (TMC) they will be giving me a 579 automatic. They are pretty happy with the large increase in fuel economy and the drivers that I have talked to that have them seem impressed by their ease of use and function. Sounds like they are way above the first gen of auto's that came out.
Glad you are enjoying your new home, still enjoy reading of your exploits when I have a moment to do so. lol

Honestly, i liked tmc, up until they started hounding me about training. I made a decent check, but wasn't impressed with the 62mph crap. As for pgt, it was good. Made a great paycheck, i averaged no less than 1400 gross a week with several in the 2000 range. What i didn't like was my particular terminal manager was a jerk that he liked to blame drivers for everything that went wrong. Didn't matter that it wasn't your fault. So fat at btc,is pretty good, once i get this load off that in under, which will deliver Monday in memphis, ill be at 1400 gross for the week. Not bad considering I'm new here and it's just after the holidays

The low power and governor is a killer here at TMC. I ran from ARAUCO Bennettsville to Moorefield, WV the two combined make topping a mountain at more than 35mph pretty tough most the time.

Gunner, does PGT or Builders have training? I'm doing dryvan now but would like to switch to flatbed once I get some experience in. Thx.
