Your school experience will teach you how to pass the test to get your license. Real world learning begins when you deal with dispatchers, shippers and receivers, trip planning, and making a plan B when things do not go as planned. The most important mile you drive is always the next one. Prime INC has a good program for starting drivers, their northeast terminal is in west central PA. Tanker, Flatbed and Reefer. Relax and let the traffic make their choices with plenty of space in front of you, enjoy the journey.

ok, i know NETTTS is in CT, i think farther east than your location, wouldn't make too much sense to do all that gas burning, going back and forth.

as i said, never heard of the school you are going to. IF they hold to the one on one training, you should be able to accomplish more that say a class of 60 people..>!!!!!

which NETTTS is WELL KNOWN FOR, in thier full time class, but i do believe the 160 class would be like uner 20

Just understand that, like IT sales, that entry-level class you probably took tells you zero about the job. Go to these job interviews telling them you understand the fact, that truck school did not prepare you for an actual job in the field but rather simply gave you an entry-level credential to be eligible for hire. Tell them you know next to nothing about what the real job is like, and you want to learn as much as you possibly can. They'll like hearing this. If you go in there talking like you've done this for years they won't respect it. A solid line that always got me hired was saying something like that. "What did you learn in truck school?" I always tell them, truck school didn't teach me anything at all. It was a formality to get a credential. I couldn't even drive a 10-speed when I graduated school. I learned everything I know on the job. They always loved hearing that and said something like, yeah , those schools don't teach you a #### thing anyways, when can you start?

Puppage where in CT are you located. I just went thru a school here in Springfield Ma after being away from trucking for 15 years. I am also going flatbed and spoke to a company that operates here in the Northeast and takes students. PGT trucking and Tri State CDL

Ya that might be a bit of a drive. Instructors were very good, like a 2 to 1 student/instructor ratio. You take the exam at their yard, big advantage. You drive the same route that your test will be, another huge advantage. Folks there were very nice and knowledgeable. I drove for a decade and I would have Walter and Tom teach my kids.
