CF was my first commercial tractor trailer driving job. I worked casual there a couple days a week on my off days from my full time career as a professional firefighter. It was actually a great place to work. I would unload 2 pups a day in the city, 20-30 stops. Now if I get more than 2 stops in a day I get in a mood. Boy how we get spoiled as we age.

Mike, for your next thread I nominate ARA Smith Transfer. I don't remember much except they kept a spare tractor at my dad's garage so we had one to swap out when they broke down or wrecked. This was in 1980 or 81, my dad is the guy on the left. These are not his wreckers, were three other heavy duty guys in town, dad was just there helping as a friendly competitor. D&H had the call first, broke something on their truck then Ray Evan's showed up but didn't do anything except tow D&H home, finally My Place (yes, that was their name) finished the recovery.
Funny side note, I ended up buying this guys business in 2006 as my way into heavy duty towing. Dad had gotten out of the towing industry before I was old enough to take over so I did the next best thing, bought his competitor out.

Here the completed TNT NA US operations puzzle.I voluntary excluded some marginal and/or very short lived operating units. For the canadian operations look later at the Falling Flags Since 1980-Canada section.
