Olex Customer base was mainly in automotive and to a lesser extent in other associated sectors like aeronautics and high tech. Its geographical coverage included Canada, US, and Mexico.
For its part Taxi Truck was the result of TNT market segmentation and its politics of ulta specialisation. Taxi Truck provided urgent delivery of shipments through dedicated `` one truck to one shipment `` service. Its customer base was highly diversified and included any type of freight. As an exemple the division could move a guitar forgotten by a Rock N Roll band from a town to another one. Taxi Truck served mainly the local and regional markets in Québec, Ontario and midwest states. The Shadow, Mike2633 and Texas_hwy_287 Thank this. -
Hi everybody,
The book telling the fabulous history of the Australian worldwide transportation group TNT which I wrote with my Australian partner Darren Hingston is finally available through the following website :
TNT Alltrans History Book | TNT Alltrans History Book
I hope you will enjoy.
PS : The different price between Canada and USA is related to the higher shipping cost to send the book from Canada to the USA.The Shadow, Mike2633 and brian991219 Thank this. -

I made the count and six transport operations of the stable of TNT North-America always survive today ( Uniline, TST Expedited Services, Wesbell, Holland, Reddaway and Dugan ) but for how long...? But for all that it's remarkable that those units survive to the disappearance of the Australian Group for more than twenty years. It's the illustration that the decentralisation politics of TNT promoted the emergence or the preservation of very strong brands. The Shadow, brian991219 and Mike2633 Thank this.
