Thought that I would add a little more about low bridges in NY. Have lived up there a number of years and have driven over most of the State. In my entire time of driving in the State of New York, I have only seen two or three bridges / overpasses that were marked accurately. The sign will list the height as "Actual Height." All the other height signs were not accurate.

Many drivers will tell you that the bridges are posted a ft shorter than what they actually are. If you read in the Trucker's Rand McNally, you will notice that it isn't always true and the actual heights will vary from the posted heights.

The Trucker's Rand McNally is hard to beat. I have a laminated one that I am still using that's 8 years old at least and goes everywhere that I am driving a big truck. They also highlight many of the commercial truck routes in many of the States.

They have the atlas that is recommended as well as campground guides, grade guides etc. They have a wealth of info for RV'ers, not to mention a lot of gadgets to spend your money on!

    Have fun out there!
