Tandem placement and turning radius

I drove a million miles in a semi-truck, not on a video game.

It is bad form to belittle a truck driver for discussing the maneuverability of CMVs.

If you want to continue posting on this thread, why not discuss tandem placement or turning radius? I asked a question about turning radius in post #138 that nobody has answered yet.

 

YOu did not bother to read my post #138. My question on post #138 is not "Why does sliding the fifth wheel forward allow a tighter turning radius?" My question on post #138 is "have you ever slid your fifth wheel forward just to tighten the turning radius around an obstacle?" I've had a lot of trucking teammates in my career. And I've never seen one of them slide a fifth wheel forward just to tighten the turning radius around an obstacle. I imagine it's mighty darn rare, but I don't want to have to imagine. So I asked the question
