Okay I have a question. Follow my filling in between the lines. The drivers need to seek insurance through other means, and they are welcome to apply to Celadon not loosing seniority. Tango has ceased operations.
Aren't these drivers technically unemployed until Celadon hires them? Am I missing something or did they circumvent reporting layoffs of 900+ people?

I would say they violated this law based on what has been posted.

I worked for Tango for about six months. I still have a letter from the life insurance company (Prudential) informing me that my life insurance was never started because they never received the first premium. However, Tango had been deducting it from my check for almost 3 months. Working for them was terrible. Low miles and low pay. Glad they are no longer in business.

No sir, you missed nothing. That's exactly what they did along with shafting several hundred employees. The Walmart strategy that seems to be working and lets them slip right through the loop hole.

So former employees are "invited" to apply? Sounds familiar. The communists bought my carrier several years ago and "invited" us to apply. I applied elsewhere.

When this happens...more than it should these days...I just pull off the nearest ramp or pickle park, wait it out a couple minutes and then boogie on down the line.

    You just can't fix stupid.

At least I can say when my company went thru a merger, we didn't have to reapply or lose benefits. Our benefits went inactive Dec 31st and active with new company January 1st

That's a pretty dirty move on celadons behalf. All I can think of is the drivers who have children or a spouse that require regular medical attention.

Any of you ever work for Celadon?
Its a great place to work.
I love to watch you bozos bash a company just because their success full.
The drivers will all be given opportunities to keep their position,if they choose to do so.
Blue cross for a driver is $30 weekly.
I'm guessing Billy big rig could afford that.
