It's actually an extended training time for rookies with no experience. You go with 2 different trainers and are paid $500 per week. Benefits do not kick in until after the training period. It's not for someone who needs a job now and can't afford to wait. Training for rookies will last 6 weeks plus depending on the student and when they find you a truck.
On the other hand you can make 50-60K the first year working 250 days and the training is not running team in a truck. In fact students sleep in company paid hotels if the load does not get you back to the yard. My second trainer was located at another terminal and I was put up at The Hampton hotel for 2 weeks during that phase.
Keep in mind the company has no financial reason to keep you training longer than necessary. The loads you do with a trainer could easily be done by him alone so the longer they keep you with him the more money it costs the company. That is a good thing.

I worked for Schneider Bulk for little over a year. I was a experienced driver before starting there, but I made decent money, they are awesome about getting you on your home time, and the work isn't to bad. Once you learn the system, you can set it up to were you never actually do deliveries. A lot of terminals to stay at, I mean overall not a bad company to start tankers with. They can be a pain when it comes to there training program, and keeping you current on you training. They do have a terminal in Keasbey NJ, so you can possibly get a local position out of there in the future.

shakie that's my problem is getting to there terminal ill be going by public transport itll take me roughly 2 hours and a few minutes getting to there terminal plus 1.3 mile walking distance from the last bus stop to that terminal itll been a lot and I do mean a lot more easier if they was lenient on letting there drivers take the truck home. that's exactly why I am considering prime more is because of the convenience of taking the truck home with you so that'll eliminate bus stops all together but I really wanted Schneider for the tankers and hazmat exp

hhhmm you got a serious strong point they do need drivers. im glad you brought that to my point. imma call my Schneider recruiter tomorrow & try to speak & reason wit him my situation. I doubt they'll consider it but Imma tell them I seriously really wanna work with them but they gotta work with me & they do have it on the requirement *must be able to park personal vehicle in terminal* its there in there requirement & that's something I can't do.
