Superior Carriers do but they are very selective. You must graduate from an approved school, be in the top 1/3 of the class, and be recommended by one of their terminal managers. Pay is good in training though 100 per day and you start at the same pay rate as experienced drivers. Find the closest terminal to you and give the manager a call. I have a driving test for them next week and am out of school 2 weeks now with a shiny new cdl with x endorsement. You do not take the trucks home so you need to be commuting distance from your home terminal to be considered.

Schneider takes students for tanks as well.

Tidewater Transit (TWT) does but only if you are fairly near to a terminal. Pretty much the same as Superior.

I'm not sure if they hire students or not but Oakley is in Lake Wales. There is a ton of Bynum trucks always around Bradenton headed to the east coast you might check on them also

Superior Carriers will hire students but you have to have a terminal managers recommendation, graduate from an approved school in the top 1/3 of your class. Training pay is 100 per day for 4-6 weeks but after that you make the same rate as regular drivers. Also since the trucks only have one bed you stay in hotels or drive local during training.

I have a driving test with them in a couple of hours. Been out of school about 2 weeks. Call the terminal manager before going to school.

I lifted this from a post by Cyanide on another board.

I'd like to know who you finally end up going with.I run local out of Tampa now but was looking into going back OTR at the end of January. Oakley was on the top of my list. But I'd like to know whatever company you go with and if your getting the miles and how the hometime is getting you back to Florida
