OK, you're an 0/0 so can't help much there. I moved to Nevada from Tennessee for better weather. Do you know anything about Trailer Transit? All 0/0 fleet.

I don't know if the pay is any good or not; you can call and find out.
They pull all sorts of new trailers and deliver them to the customers; empty trailers.
Being a flatbedder, you probably already have the equipment needed such as light bar, etc.
- Potential for earning well over $200,000 per year
- Hire only owner operators - no lease purchase or company trucks - no fleet owners - no forced dispatch
- All drop and hook, no loading, unloading or tarping
- Better fuel mileage, less wear and tear on your tractor and no trailer expense
- Receive 100% of all fuel surcharges
- All permits and registrations are furnished by Trailer Transit
- Settlements are paid weekly and direct deposit is available
- 50% advance for each trip available
- Passenger program
- Group insurance program at excellent rates

Eh dallas isn't that bad. Pretty easy to navigate i did local asphalt for 5 months and it was fun.... Houston is insane with the humidity lol i delivered quite a bit to both cities and they're both pretty easy to navigate but Houston has some crazy ### traffic and iv been cut off ALOT in the Houston area but if you're looking for tanker that's the place to be.
Also if you're looking for less populated areas east of dallas you have Terrell,Tx which has linde hauling cryogenics and 22/hr you also have powerlabs which hauls dry bulk battery acid but they're only home every other weekend. South of dallas you have Midlothian which has lots of dry bulk and warehouses . Whatever you pick iv found most local gigs in the dallas area average 50-65k a year no matter what you're haulingLast edited: Mar 20, 2017

[QUOTE="Chirt, post: 5825336, member: I wonder if someone would employ me with my Mass license and then tranfer it later to Texas.
I did that moving to KY with an AZ license, it was ok only since they did business in both. But new job will want license from state you reside...... Ky had same deal with the H/M and gave me endorsement only temp.(90 day) until I took test and had background. Texas may do same. AZ I only had to take test.Chirt Thanks this. -
Texas did the same for me in June 2013 when I moved from Reno.
I JUST GOT my CDL &
HM 3 WEEKS PRIOR!
I was peed to say the least at having to do it all over again 3 weeks later.
I retook all the tests incl. HazMat and they gave me a TX CDL w/ a 90 day HM endorsement. I waited until the last week to pay another $128 for the new HM ends. -
Houston sucks!!! I live in Dallas and during the summer when I used to take freight down to Houston it was so humid everything inside the truck would get sticky and wet. Even houston people can't stand the humidity. Lol
austinmike Thanks this.
