Just moved to the Bothell area.

I have 1 year of experience. 9 months of that year is tanker work. I have tanker, hazmat, and doubles endorsements. I have TWIC card and an enhanced license. No accidents and no tickets.

I'm looking for local work, but do not object to occasional over nights. I'm looking for a mid-sized company.

Companies that I'm already aware of: Lynden/Milky Way, Superior Tank Lines, APP/WorldFuel, Vernon Transportation, National Response Corporation.

Airgas, Clean Harbors, Pilot fuel trucks, Gemini aka loves fuel trucks.

You may have to drive to Kent or Seattle for local work.

Seaport Petroleum, Lee & Eastes in Seattle, Big Rig Tanker Services out of Puyallup but not much in the Bothell area unfortunately. Most outfits are north or south of the Seattle/tacoma area and drive into the area for the day.

I moved up here a while back and something that I've noticed is that most companies up here seem to have some really junk equipment.

First company I took the road test with I was driving for 10 minutes and then the clutch fell to the ground, floated to a turn lane to stop there. Second company I inspected the truck I was going to be using and the belt connected to the alternator was broken, a couple of days later the same truck barely had any power and was blowing a lot of smoke from the stack. Took it back and they switched the fuel filters, was good after that.

A bit of topic, just a note to keep in mind. Anyhow superior requires 2 years of experience as do most companies. If you have a school certificate that may help with some companies.

App takes grads as does Lynden, hope that helps.

Unfortunately there isn’t many options in that area. I used to live in Lynwood and had to commute to Kent. Most companies seem to be located in that area.
