Hey guys, I've been asked by some local dairies to haul their milk. I know all the families that own the dairies. I just wanted to know about the specifics of getting into the milk business. First question, does the farmer pay the frieght or does the creamery that it's taken to, and do they pay net 30 or how do they normally do it? Can a dairy just hire a truck or does the creamery that buys the milk usually have transport company they usually work with? How do they price the milk? Is it a price per hundred pounds, or a price per ton per mile from the farm to creamery? Any help from anyone that knows the specifics of how this works would be great. Thanks
