I am just going off of what you posted. It's always apples to oranges to talk about "take home pay". Everyone's taxes and deductions are different. Its much better to talk about gross pay. I would need to gross above 70K to see 1,000 per week "take home". It happens some. I have seen $1700-$1900 weeks(gross). I don't think Schneider Bulk would have any trouble finding drivers if they paid in the 70K range. If you are making that maybe I need to look harder at them. I really don't want to train though. Do you run as a team some? How many miles do you run in a year?

As far as miles I never add them up. I go week to week. I keep track of them till Saturday at midnight then it starts over. Once checked with my pay statement I just throw the paper away.
You got me thinking though I should probably stop saying a grand a week. I should take what I made from the month and divide by four. That would be a more honest way of telling people what they can expect. Sorry about that. -
As far as the current driver shortage we are having I think it is because of the big freight push we are doing. Just my opinion I have no facts on that.

Now that I am thinking about it let me add one more thing. To me Schneider wouldn't be a good company if I wanted to go home all the time. If you want to make good money here then you have to run. If you want to go home weekly or even every two Weeks then don't count what I say as true for you. I run OTR and I run for at least three Weeks at a time and sometimes more.
This isn't directed at anybody but those who will read it in the future. -
Monthly pay divided by 4 won't tell you much since some months have 5 paydays(weekly). Its better to look at 13 week quarters.
All this goes back to my budget management duties before trucking. Nothing like projecting revenue and expenses and having to explain why anything deviates positive or negative by more than 2%. Computers have taken micromanagement to new levels and its a lot worse than a qualcom or elogs. -
