I like to do the same thing. I think they are standard size D-rings. One thing I do is only crimp the hook on one end of the bungee.

My tarps came from Zamzow in STL. Custom ordered 24x16 and 28x16 with 3 rows of stainless D's lengthwise and 2 rows width wise. $800
skellr Thanks this. -
WOW, those are expensive! Tarpstop's set, 16X24 and 16X27, is only $539. No Ds across the width, but they will add them cheap enough.
-
mytee products 24x27 18oz vinyl go for $275 each.....
can get a 3 piece set 18oz for $680
edit:the $275 is for 18oz top, 14oz sides. the 18oz full tarp is $295 -
What kind of weight difference would there be with a 14oz side vs 18oz?
-
Not much. Like 10-15 pounds. I'd just assume pay the extra 20 for the full tarp in 18oz. Says it's only 100 lbs
-
For that little bit of weight I would get the 18oz as well and have something a little more durable.

My 16x20' tarps are 64lbs each thats with 2 extra D-rings and one extra long ways just got them in the mail today
