    I quickly learned that when driving thru the fields it didn't take much of a hole to "take" the steering wheel outta your hands, I was in the middle of a two lever shift (with one arm through the wheel spokes) when that happened, honestly thought I had broke my arm,,, as they say " Necessity is the Mother of Invention!!!"

    WSLL, I think your post is spot on,,,,,,,,for probably 80% of the people out there that can afford (have the credit/down payment to do it) The issue for me is "if" you have/need a truck that isn't all that common, in my case I just don't need a 500hp 15 litre 72" sleeper with dual tandems, because of what my trucks are we see much more and faster depreciation, but yet they cost very close to same new, that is one reason we have tried to run them longer, but again, for most people, I think your friend is right!
