Atlanta trucker : “To gain more freedom through loaning poor people your money”
Wow, so now I know what freedom is, it’s money. So when people say our troops fight for our freedom, they really mean our money, and poor people are just there to take advantage of. But when someone disagrees with rich people cutting their taxes and raising mine, that means they hate freedom ???? Wow, that is some twisted logic.
Tax bomb ?

Steer Tire -I would like to know how your employer allows you to report the per diem as income or not, if that’s actually a choice, because that would change things it seems.
But you said “when you report your income” I don’t get what you mean by that, do you mean when you fill out the form ?Last edited: Dec 12, 2018

Eingrish teachers amuse me But so do financial wizards.
I met Harry Potter once. Maybe twice. Nope, could have been three times. I suck at math. -
Just handing it back. So what about the income reporting ?

I am really not sure how these companies get away with that perdiem because they call it a reimbursement for expenses but they take it out of your pay ..... and then some charge you to do it ..... they do it with health insurance but that just keeps you even with the people that have insurance provided. ..... why couldn't you get 1500 a year deducted from your pay as clothing and supplies and save money that way ... it boils down to the raised the standard deduction and lowered the tax rate and got rid of most of the itemized deductions. .. now they are backtracking on the state taxes and letting this per diem thing go

Your friend should read more. I’ll never have to pay property taxes again. Unless they change the law which has been on the books since statehood. -

State property taxes are the hardest to avoid for most people. Federal tax liens, the easiest. If you own your own house, and owe nothing. Talk to an estate planner.
It’s a trade. You lose possession (in title) and can not borrow against it as an asset. But with proper planning, the IRS can’t seize it either
If you don’t plan on living in it for the rest of you life. It’s a mute point
