Tax prep recommendations for O/O in our around Flint MI

Definitely try to avoid the chains like H&R Block or Jackson Hewitt if you can cuz they really don't know Jack about the trucking industry. I Googled the tax does in your area and there is only a few that are not some type of chain so I would start with those.

 

look for an accountant to do your taxes. do not use a tax preparer.

 

I would suggest Lewis & Knopf on 23 & Hill. I don't know how much experience they have in trucking, but every time I've had need of a CPA they were awesome.

And yes, they are a full CPA, which is what I would suggest also.

P.S. Who are you currently using?

 

That is the same reason I fired my first CPA. They tried to tell me I owed over $6600 for just one quarter and would not advise me on extra write offs I had. My current CPA firm sat down with me for two hours for free just to talk to me about my business and write offs.
