    Yeah CRA are just people. Nothing scary about it, no need to over exaggerate lol...I hand wrote them a letter explaining the error in addition to the filled out TL2 forms they had asked for, for the audit. They didn't even ask for log books. Got my owed refund in a few weeks, not a dollar less than I expected.

    Of course if your claim is factual and complies with the regs go for it.The CRA can be real prxxxs. Here is a good story. One year they were auditing claims for expensive meals from business people. One fellow had claims from a very high end steakhouse. The CRA sent an investigator to the restaurant. He had the bills the businessman had submitted. They knew something was wrong so they audited the restaurant. Went so far as to check the amount of meat billed from suppliers to the amounts that were billed. One smart CRA guy noticed that the color of the bills was different. They were supplying false bills with high amounts and had 2 sets of books. This was before restaurants had computers.
