    Hello Mavericks,

I have applied to Maverick and have been accepted, I'm just waiting for an orientation date at this point. I should know soon what date I will be assigned and I figured let me get one good question in here prior to making my decision which fleet to drive for.

Due to my home location (Central NJ) Flatbed is not available. My choices are TCD or Glass. I have no real preference and would be happy in either one as long as it says Maverick on the side of the truck!

My question is, in your opinion which fleet would be better based on my home location? Looking at potential miles and the ease in which to schedule home time so the dispatchers don't have to jump through hoops to get me home.

I am excited to start and the choice to be a part of Maverick was really a no brainer. I have looked at other companies and posted questions on other carrier sites but held out for what I thought would be the best. I am glad I did.

Honestly it comes down to personal preference and availability of a glass trainer for you right now there is a waiting list. TCD on the other hand I like but you get paid less. It really comes down to preference. I am located in Maryland and I am TCD.

Thanks for the reply. Spoke to the recruiter today and requested TCD. She stated that I am now on hold for orientation until a TCD trainer becomes available. Estimated it could be a few weeks before I could get to orientation, I am fine with that. Would rather wait to get in to a good company than rush into a substandard one.

By the way, I like the bike in your picture. I have the same one except my bike is black.

    sbarber7973 Thanks this.

There is only 10-13 TCD trainers. I am one of them. From what I hear they are hiring for TCD out east. A lot of freight out there
