One of the TDA campuses (Yuba City) has been fined for a variety of violations

(It seems the scrutiny was brought on by a student complaint.)
Oohhhh They were fined $15,000. Hurry up and sign up! They need to make that money back!!
That link describes in plain language what the fines were for. One thing was no system in place for tracking vehicle maintenance performed. Another was not paying a pro-rated refund due to the student who dropped. (They paid $172 as a refund. They should have paid $1,280. Instead they got a fine for $5,000! Oops!)
And another OH CRAP! They were fined for hiring an instructor to train students in the driving portion who didn't have minimum 3 years of experience -- $2,500 fine! Ouch!
But wait, there's more: Trucks provided for training students are not sufficient for use. Due to repeated mechanical failures. It seems the school is where trucks go to die. Substandard equipment, and 2 out of 3 trucks inspected by CHP not fit for use in instruction and ordered to be "out of service" by CHP.
This was the Yuba City campus, as it seems from the language included in the document.
