I want schooling but don't want to get the shaft, any warnings out there. I was going to start next monday the 25th, but need advice. This is the school in Indiana. If nothing negative has anyone been through it and had a positive experience?

I went through this school in the early 90's then came back and instructed here from 98-99. I haven't been back around since then. Dan, the guy that owns the place, is a real nice guy once you get to know him, very knowledgable. The good part is they got rid of the old head instructor Joe. He was a ####y idiot. They used to be pretty descent but as for now, I honestly can't say. BOL

Hi I just got out of TDI in SWPA Pennsylvania. Overall ok, the instructors know their stuff but the equipment is crap. Until that is fix I wouldnt tell anyone to go there. Good luck!

The school for the most part now is decent except they needed to pay more attention to details with doing a final review with the students. They also seem to pick on Michigan students to a point of discust. -

We tried TDI before going w/CDL Consulting. They "approved" us for the 6k it took to go through the course. Right away we noticed that the class was way too big, the teachers were impatient, and we weren't going to get much attention there. We were going to stick it out but after the first week, we were told that we had to come up w/3k in 3 days or we would be dropped by the school. We were, and then went to CDL Consulting.

For more info on TDI at Irwin PA, I've been posting my experience there as a student. Also a bit of advice for financing.

i went to tdi/cdi in tenn about 3 yrs ago. i was very satisfied with it, came out with cdl with hazmat endorsement and had numerous job offers even tho i had a minor at fault accident on my driving record. the rest of my record was perfect condition. one of the things i did like about tdi/cdi versus the other school in tenn was that tdi/cdi took us thru road construction conditions, mountain driving, back roads etc for practice, was informed by students at the other school they did not drive back roads or mountain areas. best of luck to u

Did they place you into a Trucking company? or did you have to do all the work your self?
