i ran teams with covenant right out of school and it was a joke. together we were making .28/mile. we spent more time sitting at truck stops than we spent hauling freight. my best check was like 500 or somthing and that was with a 180 dollar safety bonus. there may be good team companies out there covenant is not one of them. i will never run teams again after that experience no matter what it pays.

After training, 120 hours btw. you will make .32 a mile split for 8 weeks. If you have your Hazmat (you want this for sure) after 8 weeks teams make .48 a mile split. They start all teams at the top of the pay scale after the 8 week period. Without Hazmat (both drivers must have to qualify) it is .04 cents less.
No doubles, triples or tankers. Hazmat is Class 3 or lower only. No explosives.
Also, no forced chainingStrykor Thanks this. -
By .32 a mile split do you mean each driver makes .16 cpm or are they splitting the miles on the truck? -
All money is paid to the truck and split 50/50 between the drivers. This means that during the first two months, you make .16 a mile for all miles the truck rolls, not just the miles you drive. After the 2 months, you make .24 a mile. At .24, you should average over $1,000 a week net (after taxes)

Thank you. Merry Christmas to you and Anne.

Some more questions...How often did you get paid when you were with USX? How long did you have to stay out? Someone has told a friend of mine that you get paid every 2 weeks and you are out 28 days with one day home and that is forced dispatch.
-
Paid every Friday
One day off for every 7 days out. Most people go out for four weeks and take 4 days off.
It is forced dispatch, most company drivers for any company are forced dispatch. -
Thank you again.
