Local running here is non-sense. Of course I live in the desert.

I would say to just run your year of OTR and get it over with. Then you can make the decisions on where to work.

I've heard good things about Maverick. Never talked to them myself.

I worked at getting a job harder than actually having a job. Good luck.

This forum has been very helpful...I spoke to 2 places today that accept me and my history, so far...One has to get my school Ok'd since they weren't on their list of approved schools but they were willing to do that, I thought that was kind of them...One set up a 2nd interview when I'm halfway thru school...Now it's getting really exciting!!!!

One was Watkins Shepard and the one thing I really liked about them was they don't have a driver-trainer system, after 10 days of orientation you're in your truck!...The 10 days looks action packed according to the syllabus but I've drank out of a firehose before and can again if needed...

10 days and you are going solo? Do you really think that is wise?

I solo'd a plane after 10 hrs of lessons(which isn't unusual) so I don't think driving a truck after 10 days is unreasonable at all...It's their standard procedure...
