So team drivers get paid for all miles driven but isn't basically the same as 2 solo drivers? So the team may get 6000 miles a week but each driver has to drive 3000 basically the same as a solo driver. Correct? So what is the benefit of team driving if the pay is basically the same per driver?

Truck gets longer runs, and only stops for fuel, seat swap, and 30 minute breaks. My landlord gets about 7K miles a week.

Do the math, teams make more per mile, and get more miles. Solo drivers (starting out at least ) won't get 3k miles either, solo drivers sit more than teams at most outfits

I just read on mega carrier website they pay .60 split. So basically it's like .30 a mile per driver right? That's why i don't understand this fully. Even if you are teaming each driver is still under the same hours of service as a solo driver would be. So how is each individual of a team making that much more money then a solo driver? I watched a lot of solo drivers on youtube getting more then 3000 miles.

That 60 cpm split is for all miles,5000-7000 usually). Figure that's 30 cpm for all those miles.

It's just like anything. If you are a strong solo with the right company and dispatchers you can run 3000 or more a week. If you are a strong team with good load planning you can pretty well go non stop. If you are a driver who is habitually late for appointments they will give you the freight with more than enough transit time on it = less miles per week.

    .30 cpm x 3000 = $900

    .30 cpm x 6000 = $1800

And i watched guy on Youtube saying he makes 4500 , don't belive Youtubers it's first of all.
2nd dude teams don't need to idle truck for 10 hours
Do math , lets say you have load going from Jacksonville, FL to LA
    Now
Count how many days it will take you to reach it, then count how many days it takes team to reach it.
After that go back to 5th grade!

I think i know where i confused myself on the team driving. I thought the mileage pay was split between the two drivers .60 so each driver got paid .30 a mile. It's .60 per mile to EACH driver now it makes sense. At .30 a mile i wouldn't see why anyone would do that.
