Make sure you can both do the job before committing to it. My wife is a awesome driver but it just wasn't for her. Do the job for a year then if you both like it you can be making $250,000 as a team. Companies go nuts over married couples teaming.

I team drove for Schneider and enjoyed it. Since you have zero experience I believe the pay rate is really good. I mean $1500 and up for absolutely zero experience is crazy good.

Once you get a year or two in with no accidents and a clean record you should be able to get hired anywhere and make absolute top dollar.

 

Schneider training is good and it's a great place to get a start. I'm getting close to one year there as a solo driver. The $2,000 if you leave early is really a bargain compared to other companies and private schools where you'd easily pay 3 times that amount. Unless they've changed it, I believe the contract is only 9 months instead of a full year.
